ur, err, define rare
My wish list is:
- pink scleconephthya,
- red scleronephthya,
- red tubastrea,
- cespitularia,
- giant purple cespitularia.

I'm lucky to find ANY corals at my LFS's Does that mean all corals are rare?

Be careful here friend, If lfs or coral farms don't sell them it's usually for a reason. They produce high levels of toxins...they get too big for captivity... They can poison you with their sting... ect..ect.

If you find one by all means have the seller put him on hold, even put a deposite on it if need be. But most important, go home and reasearch it to find out the care and pros v/s cons then decide weather to bring him home or not

My LFS only seems to get brown things. Dang I hate brown corals. Polyps, leathers etc. It seems that anything red or blue or really bright green, escapes their eye. Either that or the store employees raid the boxes before it ever hits the shelves! Man I hate that! The LFS guys get all the cool stuff because they buy it at cost plus shipping since they work there, and then pass on the green and brown stuff to the general public!
Oh well.
Fav corals Oh yeah! Really red meat corals! Love the Cynarinas that are pink to red! Awesome!
