Sedra 3500 replacement

where do I go find one to purchase? I used one on my ASM G2 skimmer, and it's not working anymore.

1. can I just buy the regular sedra 3500 pump and use my current needlewheel assembly

2. is there a better alternative to the 3500 pump? that can work on my ASM G2

thanks in advance,

jeff

You CAN buy a replacement sedra on e b a y, but I don't know if it's worth it.

yes if your needlewheel impeller assembly is still good you can swap all the parts to a standard Sedra 3500 pump but I would replacing the whole thing, you can find the pump with needlewheel impeller at customaquatic.com. Another alternative is a Gen-x 2400, all the parts will swap in nicely. I ran that for a bit with decent results.

GenX2400 has 635gph vs Sedra 3500 350gph. does the genx have different performance?

based on what I've read, it looks like Gen X and the Oceanrunner are good replacements. I'm leaning towards purchasing another sedra 3500.
