Sick fish need help?!?!?!?!
Just got as an early xmas present and after 3 days in my tank it wont eat. I have noticed that he is hardly using pectoral fins to swim. The fins look to be a little cloudy. All of my water parameters look good. Fot the first 2 days he was swimming around fine and no buddy is bothering him. Nothing else is sick and everything else looks fantastic.

Angelfish hardly ever use pectoral fins to swim. (As an example, Wrasses often use pectoral fins to swim.)
Is the Angelfish picking at the rockwork?

There have been a number of mysterious fish deaths lately attributable to flukes. There is a very good thread on this in the fish disease and treatment forum. The symptoms are; healthyfish, suddenly stops eating and becomes listless, cloudy orshredded fins, head shaking not rubbing like ich but shaking like the fish is trying to shake something off,labored breathing in some cases and sudden death within days of symptoms. It is very hard to see the flukes since they are transparent. They may be on the eyes and give them a cloudy appearance.
the treatment is przi pro or formalin. Formalin is not reef safe. Prazi pro claims to be. http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...readid=1260067

To get new fish to eat I mix up cyclop-eze, little bit of prawn eggs, fishtamin, garlic guard, little bit of omega first flake and some frozen mysis, chopped krill, and/or the frozen mix foods like formula or marine supreme. I also try to add live copepods, and live baby brine shrimp and some kind of seaweed. make it kindof think and try to ball it up into a bunch. as it sinks the the copepods will be jumping out of it and the fish really notice it. the main problem always is that the old fish will get to it faster. But this mix is full of smells and tastes so the new fish really go for it.
Sera plankton tabs also work well, I use them after the new fish starts eating. They last for a while and brake up into pretty small tidbits. If your new fish has parasites like flukes and is not eating because of it, its a different story. Do you notice its hanging out at the top, does it seem to be swallowing air? Jerks around in funny motions. Does it try to hide or just ignores all your fish and just acts strange?

I will try marine supreme and mix it with selcon. He just hides and acts strange.

Thanks alot for the very helpfull information. He died. All of my water parameters are good and everything else is healthy. No agressive fish. Only got him three days ago from LFS. Any other ideas on what i should check so it doesnt happen again?

It's probably too late, but if you were to do a freshwater dip (post mortem or otherwise), I would think that any parasites (i.e. flukes) would come off of the fish. At least that would answer your question as to why.

find out if the fish eats at the lfs before you take it home, aclimate it slow, very slow lfs's keep the salt level low in the fish systems and an isolation quarantine is a good idea.

Sorry the angel died. Sometimes it's unavoidable. You'll increase your odds for success with quarantine and observation. This p[ractice if well managed gives the fish a chance to gain strength before going in the main tank. You can observe the specimen more easlily and try various feeding approaches without competition. You can also observe closely and employ a range of treatments if needed.
