PS3 Vs XBOX 360 - The Ultimate showdown!!!!
which one do you own/want and why?
i own a Ps3 why; Bluray, cellprocessors, Bluetooth/USB controller, memory card slot, free online game play...i can go on..

I don't own either, but that is a financial issue and not because I don't play games. That being said, of those two, the only one I'd buy is the 360. I was looking forward to the PS3 and followed the cell processor development closely. Sadly, as the cell processor neared completion, it became clear that it could not and would not live up to its original specifications. Then the PS3 came out for an ungodly sum of money. It just isn't worth it, IMHO. I DO want a PS2 though. I miss Kingdom Hearts.

I have a feeling that microsoft is going to cut bait and run after this generation of game consols near the end of thier cycles. from what I've read they have yet to make money on thier gaming platform and with the issues the 360 has (the red light of death) I think they may just get out now.
Still who knows. I have PS1 and PS2 games so its hard for me to change consols due to me wanting to keep it down to one "premium" system.

i didnt add the WII to the poll because most people will by a PS3 OR a XBOX....but both can buy a WII
playstation also has SISAXIS controllers (same concept as the wii-mote)......heheh forgot that one for a sec :P

I thought I would send you some words of encouragement this holiday season. I'm sorry you are feeling angry and had to lash out at others in your post about having a life=no video game playing. You're a good person BrianD and I want everyone to express how much we appreciate you by giving nice words to uplift you as you are feeling insecure with the commitments you have chosen which result in your life. I'm sure you are much too busy exercising your authority as a moderator to even get these words but I give them to you this holiday season anyway. You are wonderful human being. Sony online gaming may be free, but their service is still nothing like XBox Live.
Sony still doesn't have even CLOSE to a good game lineup to compete against the 360...how long's it gonna take? Blueray vs HDDVD still hasn't been decided and probably won't be for a bit. Sony lost my money after the fiasco they called Socom3...they won't see another dime. I've nothing against those that enjoy the PS3...but I'll never own one.

How about all three? I have a 360, Wii and a PS3 under the tree.
Of course my wife is pure evil since she didn't tell me about it until she had wrapped it! So, now I can't open it even a little early without our five year old wanting to open all of her gifts.

from what I've read from Microsoft news releases about the 360 - all this was between the lines reading - All 360's will eventually have the same problem its a hardware problem not a software problem and since they havn't changed the hardware they are using in them then the problem is present in all of them. If you get 10 years out of one thats great but it could crash next week.
