FS: 165gal tall tank - $300
This is a custom glass tank I had built a few years ago. It is 72” long, 18” wide and 30” high with dual 1.5” corner overflows and a black back/overflows. The actual calculated volume is 168gal. This tank was $700 to have built and a similar size from Glasscages is $550 without the overflows. The only flaw I am aware of with the tank is a small scratch in the front caused by sand trapped under a magnetic cleaner.
I have it installed as an in-wall tank in our yoga/training studio at the moment, so it does not come with a finished stand or canopy. The stand it is sitting on is 30” tall and built from 4x4 and 4x6 redwood with stainless steel hardware. A little coaxing with a saws-all can remove it if desired. The tank will come with all the drain plumbing. Durso’s, bulkheads, ball valves and some extra 1.5” PVC and flex PVC. For fun, I am throwing in all of my leftover sand which I believe is enough for a 2-3” sandbed (175+lbs?). I will be cleaning the tank tomorrow, after which I will take and post pictures. I will have a truck this weekend and can help move it for the round trip cost in diesel, provided you help load it. I also have a 450gal acrylic tank (8ft long, 3ft wide, 2.5ft tall) in need of some scratch removal and polishing. I will sell it for $550 as is (sandpaper, novus kit and buffer included) or $700 if I have to do the work. Same deal applies to transportation – you help load and pay diesel. |

I will take and post pics after I clean the tank . . . which will be after I get home from the office. The 450gal will be move to a different thread at that time.

I am presently draining the tank and planning to get the last of the sand out after my little one goes to sleep. I snapped a few pictures of the dirty tank though.
Front ![]() Back ![]() You can see the stand, ball valves and unions that stem off the bulkheads. The black spot on the back is where I hit a scratch in the paint the LFS put in it while loading with some new paint. You can't tell from the front. Overflow ![]() Everything is getting a good cleaning in a few hours. |

I will entertain any reasonable offers on both this tank and the 450gal. |

Can't beat this for the price. I would pick this up if I had the extra cash and space.
