Purchased October 2002 (former owner had her for about a year)

This fish is about 4" long and still alive. Next month she will be 6 years old.

First three years was in a 15g nano now she is in a 24g.

Anyone know about the lifespan of a blue cheek goby? A recent post stated one died after 2 1/2 years from an unknown cause (I'm assuming old age).

Hey, Aren't you the author of a couple of books I own???
No luck with any gobies here but I think the reason was the crab population of the tank taking them out at night.

Purchased 2 tank bred Cryptocentrus cinctus at 6 months old. kept 1 for a year untill he died durring a tank transfer. My other lasted for another year when he died from a disruption in the sand (I swished the sand around a bit and clouded u the water, poor guy couldn't take it)

I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure the Pholidichthys leucotaenia is not a goby, actually pretty confident about that.

20 Gal Long nano reef.

1 Ambligobius rainfordi (Rainford's or Stars & Stripes Goby) Purchased near adult size exactly 1 year ago, still very healthy and active. Occasionally eats frozen brine shrimp or flake, but mainly keeps my pod population in check.

1 Stonogobiops nematodes (Red Antenna or Yellow Rose Goby) Again, purchased 1 year ago at adult size. Last seen 4 days ago, but not unusual to not see him for a week. Seems to have relocated when I moved a power head, just need to find his new hideout. Readily snaps up anything that drifts by.

Planning to convert my 65 gal freshwater tank to a reef so I can have more of these facinating little guys.

Not sure if you are still looking, but here's a European site I love and there are always folks willing to translate. Also, there's an English section as well.
