aquascaping

As I sit around thinking(dreaming) about a bigger better reef tank and what i would like to do i came across this article.
http://www.fishchannel.com/saltwater...oral-reef.aspx
how could our aquascaping and livestock selection help our success rate.we spend all this time on chemistry and water quality... perhaps some animals just dont like your fish tank... literally. please feel free to chime in and any other articles/resources would be great. if im going to upgrade to a 150 to 250 gallon tank i want it to be the right one for a few years.
