Maroon v.s. Ocellaris?
Hey i have 2 pair of clown fish the first a pair of gold stripe maroons, the other pair is a pair of ocellaris clown the female is orange and the male is black, so cool. My question is will it be safe to put more than 2 pairs of clowns in a tank together? Or even another pair with the maroons? Ive seen it done quite often but wanted to hear the word of expierenced individuals.

I really seriously would not for the sake of the health of all clowns involved.
I would further say only with careful inspection and time will you be able to keep the two pair you have together. How old is the maroon pair and how large is the female? I find the older they get and the more nesting behavior they show the less tolerant they will be of other clowns coming near. It is possibly they could be in fish-bliss on two different sides of the tank but the potential for aggression and bad juju is there.

I've tried this in a 55 gallon and it didn't work for me. Maybe if you have a tank larger, about 400 to 500 gallons then it might work.

Its not going to work. I have a 75gal and I wouldnt even dare try that. You might want to reconsider.
