black ring around zoos

Ive been having alk issues lately and so my zoos are not happy. Would it cause the zoos to close turn black. Looks almost like a black ring. Thanks guys

some of mine did that when I didn't acclimate to intesne lighting that well... I had some real AOGs and Devils Armour's oral disks black... I moved them lower in the tank, a few months later all colors came back...

so those black rings are called "oral disks black" is it a disease?

no it is not a disease it is anatomy..

the oral disc is the part of the zoo...that is between the frills of it's skirt and the centre, its mouth...the mouth is part of the Oral disc...

i think we would need picture of it to better diagnose it...

is there a black ring as in colouration of the zoos oral disc? or is the outside of the zoo turning black?
