lta picky eaters

My lta seems like its not eating. My maroon brings it shrinp but it just floats out...... Any suggestiions on diet. And when they eat do they usually close up.

You could try smaller pieces or something else. I feed my bigger lta cut up pieces of silverside.

How long have you had the food? It could be old, my purple lta will spit the food out later if the food is starting to get old or if the piece of food is too big. I use to feed it raw shrimp( that didn't keep its freshness in the freezer for very long), now I feed it small pieces of silversides once a week. You could be feeding it too often. My lta will let the food go if I feed it more than once a week. Try all kinds of fresh seafood I'm sure you'll find one that your lta loves best. I would try thawed muscles..lol just pickin on ya charlie
