FS: 90 gallon tank (36” x 24” x 24”) w/ two Seio 1100 - $200

I picked up this tank only a couple months ago from a local reefer. I was told that it was custom built as the tank dimensions are 36” x 24” x 24”. I can’t remember who was the maker of the tank, but it is glass and reef ready with an overflow. It is drilled with one 1.5” hole in the overflow and a bulkhead will be included. The tank also has a center brace through the (top) middle.

I started making the stand and it was constructed with 2x4s. I wanted a rugged look and something waterproof, so I had the frame sprayed with Rhino lining and I was going to shell the frame with ¼” plywood which would’ve also been Rhino lined. I didn’t get to this point however because my temp tank (another long story) sprung a leak, so my plans changed really quickly. The stand has the following dimensions 36.5" x 24.5" x 39.25".

It’s a great tank with nice dimensions (I was looking for a wide tank), but unfortunately I didn’t have the time to finish this project.

I want to sell the tank with two Seio 1100s for $200. One of the Seio 1100 only comes with suction cup mounts. The other Seio 1100 comes with all the accessories.

If someone has the time to finish the work, it’d make for a really nice setup.

PS – I’ll also have a 92 gallon corner bow with Oceansmotion squirt for sale soon (once I can get around to cleaning it out). If anyone is interested in a corner bow, let me know.

Yup, I picked up the Elos already. Now I just need to finish setting it up and get rid of some extra quipment that I have lying around. You interested in a 90gal. Maybe you can use it as a sump/fuge for your tank.

is the back of the tank spray painted black or is it a black paper liner? was looking for a 36x18x24 to use as a peninsula tank. This might work for the right price (only need tank)... LMK

Kelby, Nah man, I'm sticking with the 37 cube and tearing down the 100 and will stay SUMPLESS.

rockwyld - The back is clear. The previous owner made two black acrylic pieces to use as a background. It works well because you don't need to worry about any rocks falling against the glass and scratching it. At the moment, I'd prefer to sell the tank with the stand because I have no other use for the stand. If I can't find someone else to take it all, I'll contact you to work out a price.

Sorry LeveTille, but the 90 gal has been sold. I still do have the Seio 1100s if you're interested. I'll also have a 92 gal for sale soon if you're interested in a corner bow.

I can't say I've thought about a corner tank at all..... I suppose if the price was right I might be able to pull it off. lmk what you have in mind and I'll see what I can come up with. This is for a mixed reef so light, flexability and location in my house are concerns....

If you're looking for a flexible tank, then a corner bow is probably not what you're looking for. It's a nice tank, but it needs to fit in a corner with an area that's about 3' x 3'. If you have an large open corner, then this is a great tank. Of all the tanks I've owned, I really like the corner bow because of the depth it provides and how it is different than standard tanks.

Lighting this tank is also special because of its shape. I was able to keep a mixed reef with 4 or 5 T5 bulbs, but it's shape lends to some uneven light in the corners.

As for price, it'll be selling it pretty cheap because there are some scratches on the front glass.

I know you can buff scratches on plastic tanks but I haven't read anything about removing them from glass. If they can be removed then I'm deffinately interested. Feel free to email me.

Seio 1100's

Do you still have the Seio's? If so, what are you looking for ($'s) for them and how long were they in use?

Thanks

Also, do you have a pic of the bowfront showing the scratches?

danjen10 - I still have the Seios for sale. I've been using them on and off for a couple of years. Just so you know, these Seios had a ceramic shaft, which are horrible because they're so easy to break. I've since replaced all the shafts with PVC rods because they're much more durable.

If you're still interested, I'd like to sell them for $50. As I already mentioned, I only have one set of accessories. Here's a picture of everything

I'll start a seperate FS thread soon with the Seios and OM squirt.
