M&M's in my sump!!

Yep, my wife spilt a couple of m&m's in my sump and i can't get them out. Is this something i should worry about?

I AM WORRIED!!!

The sugar could cause a bacterial bloom and fatness in your fish...

is this all though, no effect on my coral or inverts?

i wouldnt imagine any problems, people do put sugar in there tanks sometimes, and i would imagine 10 m&ms isnt goign to matter in a 60 cube.

ok, plus a 40 gallon sump so i should be good i guess.

May I ask how she managed to spill them in your sump? And into a place you cannot get them out?

There's gotta be a way to get them out of there. I wouldn't want them rotting away down there. But that's just me...

Siphon them out - use tongs or forceps - or get your kid to help with their smaller digits.

Remember: m&m's - they melt in your reef, not in your hands!
