My brain coral has a dead area will it grow back

i have a brain coral (only a week now) but 1 tiny bit in the middle is dead (thats how i got it). Will that dead area eventually grow back?

Sorry to tell you, snaza, but most likely it won't. I guess you are referring to a Trachyphyllia, but in any event, once there's damage on the center of the brain coral it's not likely at all to recover.

is it a frag or a large piece some recent fragged corals will have small spots that look like they are dieing but will grow back this happened with a lot my frags none are brains though good luck

Avi is right. Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't continue receeding. Have you tried dipping it?
