My first attempt at pics of SPS

Here is my first attempt at trying to photograph a couple of my sps'. What do you think or any advice on how to make them better?

Thanks for all the nice words.

I took these pics with a little canon elph digital camera (SD450 I think?) and darkened the background in photoshop. Don't have the resources to pony up for an SLR.

LOL...well, maybe I lied a bit because I took a lot of pictures at once and decided to use these ones because most of them were crap (out of focus, wrong color, brightness, etc.).

Sorry for being naive Brewen but what does FTS mean?

And Engine 7, I agree with the black background helping the corals pop. After seeing all the great pics on this forum and how they framed their pics, I had to try and do the same.

Oh yeah...of course! You'll have to excuse me as it's been a long day at work...

I'll post one of those when I get a chance. It's been a while since I took a full tank pic so this is a good chance!

IMO your pics and SPS looks sharp and stunning.. nICe!!!

However in your pic showing: Yellow/green echinata ... isnt the zoa too close for comfort to the SPS... those paly will compete with the sps dude.... and we wont want to know the results will we?

Good point sin05. Those green palys are growing out of control and I've been trying to clean and trim them back. I might move the yellow/green echinata if things get dicey.
