What's the Best Skimmer?

I have a 120g reef aquarium, and I need a new in-sump skimmer. Can anyone tell me who makes the best skimmers? I had a good weekend in Atlantic City, an my wife considers the skimmer my Christmas present, so money is no object.

Ideally, I'd like a skimmer that works well (my old one didn't skim much) and is easy to maintenance.

My lifereef works like a champ. Very simple design.

I would say there are many options and opinions on this subject.

Good Luck in your search --landlord

You want to start a huge thread with flaming and opinionated posts don't you

I would do some searching in the filtration forum and see what you like... Euro reef, Deltec, H&S, MRC, Octopus, Tunze ATI, Bubble King... and the list goes on and on and on....

My $0.02, look into the new Reeflo Orca 200 that just came out. I have the Orca 250 on my 220 set up and could not be happier.

I probably wouldn't want to spend more than $2000. I was thinking of buying something in the $500-$1000 range.

Edit: Thanks everyone for the replies so far.

I run an H&S 200-1260 on my 110 with 30 gallon sump/fuge and have been very happy with the performance.
