T5 ballast question

Hey guys...

Checking out lighting options and was wondering if one of you DIY masters could tell me the numerical code that is used for aquarium T5´s?

There's F28T5, F13T5, F14T5, F28T5, etc etc

TIA

The two numbers immediately after the F is the wattage of the bulb.

However, the 24" T5, if I'm correct, is 24W, and there are no matching ballasts on that page that I linked to, i.e. no F24T5... There is also no 39W ballast. Really, there are no ballasts that correspond to T5 bulb wattage

Are you sure abou this? Or can I just go with the closest wattage ballast that is over my requirement?

TIA!

The DXE239HO5 ballast on that page fires 2 X F39T5HO and F24T5HO. That's really the only one. The 54w ballasts fire only F54T5HO (and seemingly 55w and 36w PC tubes). The rest of the ballasts are all NO T5s.
