dripping kalk..??
Since I have a lot more SPS corals and frags now I have decided to start dripping calk... everyone has always said great things about using kalk... I don't want to mix kalk to all my top off water, but would rather just drip it separately and let my auto top off do its thing... will the kalk still be beneficial by adding it this way instead of mixing it with all my top off water... Thanks again for everyones help..

Yes it will. More beneficial in my opinion, 24/7 drip keeps things steady.

I just stoped using kalk since I was haveing problems keeping my mag levels up.I read where the kalk/lime water depleted your mag fast.

Systems that use kalk do consume mag at a faster rate. I drip about 1 drip ever 4 seconds on a pretty loaded up 30g display with about 100g system. Using too much kalk can get you into trouble with high ph and crusted up pumps and if precipitation occurs it takes the mag with it as well i belive.

I've been running my top off through a DIY kalk reactor with awesome results. My sps have been growing faster than I've ever seen.
