Montipora Confusa Bleaching
Can someone help me with my monti, its about 1 month old, has not grown any, started bleaching on the tips, then around the edge, its directly under 150w 10k MH, in high flow area of 600gph in a 33g long tank. no other corals touching it, nearest coral is xenia. why is it bleaching ? other SPS corals are fine, so are the LPS & soft corals, Porites corals are growing good,
temp stays from 75 to 80..light period ranges from 5 to 9 hours a day, the lighting at the LFS was 400w 14k MH all water parms in my Tank are perfect for SPS, calcium 420 to 470. alk dead on. all others are excellent as well. |

Maybe try moving it down a little and see if it likes it better. Also if you calcium is going from 420 t0 470 you may want to try to stabalize it a little more.
