Superman Progress Photos...

Just wanted to share some quick photos of a superman that I thought it wouldn't be anything special...

Here is what it looked like when I paid $50 for the small frag.

Another photo

And finally the final shot and this is about 7 months later.....Allot of TLC!

Thanks guys, I am running two 150w phoenix bulbs suplimented with two 96w 50/50 blueline pc's.... The tank is a 75 gallon and the superman is mid way in the tank. Yeah I think for the risk of the $50 the piece turned out quite nice. I am actually thinking about cutting off the large corner of the right side and moving it to another home!

Jim you got it!

I haven't taken a full tank shot in quite some time but I think I am due. I need to clean my glass before I do though.

Very nice superman. What kelvin are your halides? I have mine under 250w 10k reeflux SE, and the polyps are not as red as yours. It was red when I bought it and turned orange. Again, yours is super, man!

The red shows up good on yours mine looks more orange.
Have you mounted it to a rock since it took over the plug?

do all superman's look the same...meaning---the one I just got is more orange and the polyps cover the entire piece.
Do i have it too high in the tank...less light?
Or, are they all different in their own way?

I will be quite honest with you that there is a bali superman and another type. My buddy has the same exact coral I have that was from the same guy we got ours. His is under T5's and mine is under halides. His is a burnt orange color. Mine is a vibrant red. They both look like two totally different pieces to be honest with you.

I have seen these same corals turn orange and I can't tell you what causes that. I will tell you one thing that I moved mine from the top of my tank to the middle and within three days it looked even better. So maybe its getting to much light in your tank? It never hurts to try to move it down and see. Give it a week or two and see what happens.
