Alpheus armatus

Will the red pistol shrimp (Alpheus armatus) live without a curly Q anemone? Is there any chance it might pair with a yellow watchman?

TIA

I've collected several red Alpheus from the caribbean, not sure what sp as more then 1 from here are red. I have never kept them with curly Q anemone and they have always done well, once with atlantic sun anemone and the another time with the common condylactus anemone. I have also kept them in a nano with no anemone and again, no problems.

Good luck

I've had a pair for over a year With a curly Q. A pederson shrimp also lives on the anemone.

Why ask about living without the anemone? GET A CURLY Q !!!!!!!
