No more SPS for me, equipment for sale

I've decided to convert my tank to a fish, softy, LPS tank. As such I am reducing my flow and lighting. I am going to post the following for sale locally for a few days then post it in the for sale forum with pics. If anyone wants the lighting stuff as a package please PM me, and we can work something out.

Lumenarc x 3- These are about 2 years old. They do have some splash marks and are a little dirty. None of this appears to affect light output. I paid about $125 ea, I'll let them go for $70 ea or $200 for all 3.

2x 400w hqi magnetic ballast- About 1 year old, I used it to drive SE 400w bulbs. I paid about $350, now $225

1 x 400w mag ballast-About I year old I paid $125 now $75

GEO 624 Ca reactor- This includes the GEO 624 reactor, 20 lbs bottle that's almost full, Co2 solenoid. I paid close 800 for everything I'll let it go for $450 cause I really don't want to ship it.

Hanna P04 meter
About 1 year old includes extra culvets and a brand new box of reagent. Paid $200 now $150

3x 400w Aquaconnect 14k bulbs- These have hardly any use on them I only use them for an hour per day paid $140 now $75ea These bulbs ROCK!

I got hit with bugs pretty bad in the spring, took out most of my SPS. I decided to give it some time to re stock. Since then work has become more demanding(new job), and I have a baby on the way. I've really put 0 effort into the tank, and can't see that changing in the near future. Most of the sps have done OK, but none have thrived. I am not taking the tank down but going to pack it full of fish, softies, and LPS. I'll use the proceeds from these goods to buy another VHO ballast, and change some of the flow characteristics which will save me money and really require next to no work on my part.

Congrats on the new one (and the new job(i think)). Sorry to hear you're going away from sps. That was the nicest tank I've ever seen in person and the equipment was no less spectacular.

I'm sure in a year or two we'll be seeing lots of softy frags available as your tank will most certainly become a coral jungle. The kids like the big fishies I guess anyways so they'll definitely be happy campers.

good luck!

Sorry to hear that your moving away from an SPS tank!! Even though I've never seen your tank in person, I've heard a lot of good things about it.

Congrats on the new family member!

Thanks for the kind words(except Jas). I am actually kind of excited in a way. Its a new challenge, I am really going to press the bio load. Then get a bunch of ricordia, zoos, leathers, all the things that really did not thrive with 1600 watts and 80x turnover.......

You know I had to rush acclimate him because I was meeting my brother in law who blew me off. Needless to say he was MIA after 3 days.

Well fish and corals that generally don't get eaten by bugs!

Just do something with that tank so we can come over and drink beer and have something to look at.
