what did you guys do to prep them before you put them in your tank?

If you made them with portland cement you will need to cure them for about 8 weeks in water. You must change the water almost daily until the PH level in the water drops.

Marco rocks are a dry coral rock, I rinsed mine good in freshwater, then stuck them into a tub with newly received live rock and let them cure/cycle together.

lmfao, i finally just realized what you were making reference to




anyways,
ill do that, and put some of my good live rock in the tank to to maybe help the cycle

I personally didn't do anything...set them in the tank and waited...the cycle took 6 weeks...I do remember that Marc recommended Turbo Start #900...but I didn't remember that until about 3 weeks into the cycle so I didn't get any...probably would not have anyway...it was going to be about $75 shipped for 8oz bottle to treat 150gal...

for what it is worth...
