I picked him up from justrarefish.com and he seems to have handled the trip with little or no stress. The pic is only after about 5 hours in the tank. He is very peaceful and seems to get along with everyone. I know they can get big as I had gotten one a while back and it was 10" and looked like a dinner plate in my 240, he got moved to the 1000 and died within a week. I have heard that the larger fish do not ship well.

How do you think a black with do with a purple? I really want to add a black and keep the purple, but not sure it is worth the risk?

Thanks

Mine do well together. The purple was in the tank before the black, the black is about an inch larger. I also have a smaller scopas tang in the tank as well.

The black and purple will flare up at each other occasionally - during feeding but do not back up or try to harm each other at all.

right now he is in the 240, if he grows much or becomes a bull in china shop to the corals he will get moved to the lagoon.
