I am pathetic with names, so I figured you were just thanking somebody called "Jeff" (whom I felt I should know) for something about which I was clueless, but should have known about and was to insecure to ask about.

I am putting this order in tomorrow. Looks like everybody is a go and we still have 300+ goldens for the price break.

I might get a lettuce nudi to take care of a rock I have with hair algae growing on it. Will those things hose the tank if they die after they eat all their food? Anybody want it after I see all the hair algae is gone?

IME lettuce nudis tend to get chopped up in powerheads. The good part is then you end up with a lot of little ones. The bad part is then those get chopped up. They didn't hose my tank when I tried them a few years ago but they didn't eat much hair algae either

Anybody who wants order changes or additions at this point needs to post here or call me before about 9pm tonight (when I'll send in the order). I need the following information confirmed:

1. The order, of course

2. Pickup: Pickup times are Friday at FedEx at 9am, between 9:30am and 1pm at my office in Cedar Bluff area, and between 1:30 and 3:30pm at my home in Powell. I can also bring them to the meeting on Saturday at 1pm, but the risk is yours waiting so long with them floating in bags or double-acclimating (my tank, then yours).

3. Payment. At this point, cash-on-pickup. And please round up or toss on an extra dime to your cost so I can put the cash together and buy a money order to mail to my bank to pay of my credit card for this one.

@Donna: I'll just take you off the order if you like. Your quantities are not hurting the price breaks.

I would like:
24 small blue leg hermits @ $15
50 goldens @ $15 ?
12 nassarius snails @ $10.
Not sure on price breaks though.
2. Pick up at your office on Friday. I will pick up between 12:30 and 1:00. I cannot make the meeting due to my son's first birthday.
3. Will bring cash to your office.

Thanks for doing this.

Thanks. I added up your order with Clay's (still need confirmation from him) and uploaded the file. The additional nassarius put put us up to 49 total, so I took another to reach the 50 for $36 price break and that drops us to $0.72 each.

Everybody please check your quantity and cost totals. The order is around $350 now and I don't want to mess anything up.

LMK if you need any help with it Scott... Its pretty simple though... Just order in the quantities that we need... They'll adjust the price after they get the final tallies...

Say we need 148 ceriths, the order would go like this:

1 x 100 cerith order @.75 each
4x 12 cerith order @$15

All 148 will be charged at the bulk rate of .75

Hope that helps

I included you. You are on the spreadsheet. Just verify your order.

Here is what I have assembled:

Quote:
Shipping splits are as follows:

Emerald crab…2 = 2 @$6 each
Hermit, small blue…24 - 24 = 48 @$0.625 each ($15 per 24)
Hermit, medium blue…12-10-15 = 37 @$1.00 each ($12 per dozen)
Sea horse, medium…4 = 4 @4 for $32
Peppermint shrimp…1 - 1 = 2 @$4.00 each
Cerith snail (best variety)… 20 - 12 - 12 - 5 - 50 - 12 = 111 @$0.75 each (100 price break)
Golden snail…50 - 24 - 12 - 10 - 100 - 12 - 100 - 20 - 50 - 50 = 428 @$0.30 each (300 price break)
Nassarius snail…10 - 12 - 10 - 20 - 12 = 64 @$0.72 each ($36 per 50)

Prices are as I understand it based on the quantity breaks or greater, and do not include the 10% online order discount.
The email from Reeftopia says to put this in the notes at the end of the order. I can also send them our Excel spreadsheet. Does this sound correct?

I don't think that you need to put the price breaks in there, only the total numbers... But I was under the impression that you had to order in the quantities they had available ont their website...

Like it would have to be 112 ceriths, not 111, so you would order the bulk 100 cerith option and then the 12 cerith option

And for the Golden snails they would have to be in allotments of 100 or 300...

This is the way I did the past two orders, but I could be wrong here...

I'm off to bed... I would just place the order and then call tomorrow to confirm... Thats what I did the first time I placed an order with them...

Sheesh. At present, I can't really break down the orders in that manner given our numbers. I sent them an email asking what to do. The problem is, if we do it manually, we lose the 10% and pay more for less snails.

You can order over the alloted amounts and still get the price breaks. Say the break is at 100.......you just type in 1.5 in the amount ordered box and get 150. You can also just give them the spreadsheet and they will bag everything individually and work that out......at least they have done that for me in the past.

Thanks. I might tweek the orders around somewhat to match quantities, too. So please bear with me if I need to change your 15 crabs to 14 so we can our 3 dozens rather than 37. I think I can make our order fit well into their setup without much tweaking.

Scott,
If you need to increase anything I'll take the extras, within limits. I can't handle a hundred extra of anything, but four or five I can.
