I got a flyer in the mail; it's Saturday the 17th only (10am-7pm). funny thing is the flyer came with coupons to use, but it says you can't use them on the day of the sale; yeah well.

The sale usually did not include tanks or stands, but I think they did put cubes on sale.
If I remember correctly the sale was 50% off freshwater fish.
25% off saltwater livestock
25% off all drygoods.

Couldn't find anything about it on their site, anyone have anymore info? I can't see it being 50% off everything in the store, no way! I am just mainly curious about livestock, doubt it they can beat online prices and products for supplies (lights, RO units, skimmers etc).

The flyer posted above says 50% off freshwater fish, 25% off saltwater fish, corals and african cichlids and 20% off store supplies (excluding tanks and stands).

I went there last night and tried to use the coupon, but the fine print says the coupons aren't valid until Dec. 1. I also noticed that their livestock did not look that good. Besides the low price of salt it wasn't worth the trip.

1221, what are there normal prices like? I don't know the store, but if there stuff is typically twice as much 60% off wouldn't matter. Just curious.

Yes, I have been at Pets Plus there prices are typical 30 to 40% higher so who cares if they have a sale still can't come close to THR prices. Also when THR was down because of the Fire, Pets Plus raised a lot of there prices great guys. Now of course they are trying to drop them not a chance.

Unfortunitly I have not made the drive up to bristol to see the new THR location and prices. Therefore i cant comment on the normal prices at THR. At Redlion fiji sells at 1.99 i beleive, sps frags soemwhere around 25, and they have this massive 8 inch acan lordhowensis for 250. Their just three prices that from what i have seen online and at other stores in the city to be cheap. If you want to be specific I can go of recent memory.

I went to the new hidden reef and wasn't all that impressed. Their livestock had some good prices, but wasn't in the best of shape. Their coral prices seem to be pretty high though. I am going to try to make it to the sale, maybe get a fish or two, but I'm not expecting much.

I am definitely going to the sale at THR, but also might stop by Pets Plus. I have picked up some of their livestock with great results before and at great prices. I agree though THR is tough to beat on drygoods prices without running all the way out to TFP.

Ill def agree with 4n4sd4's statement about the dry goods. THR salt, pump etc etc prices are the lowest around. But other stores Pets Plus, Big Als and Frazer zoo do beat them on livestock and sometimes tank prices. I have been to many of the Pets Plus stores and none compete with the one on Redlion.

Is Pet Plus the one that is just down the road from THR?

I will definitley try and make it to the sale. Of course my wife probably won't appreciate that. How do I know? Because I just found my Hidden Reef sale brochure ripped in half and in the trash.
