Propagation facilities to visit in Florida?
We are headed to Orlando next week and will have a couple of days not spent at Disney. Are there any farms (besides ORA, already planning to go there) that we could visit while we're in the area?
Thanks! -Sonja

Not really farm or reef related but if you're a diver 'Devils Den' outside Orlando is a great cavern dive.

I would highly recommend Sea in the City, http://www.orlandotropicalfishstore.com/
They have an awesome shop and owner, Marcie. She is awesome and will tell you the straight-up truth. If you want to verify visit the ORCA forum, this is the fish club in Orlando. And if you want to make the drive to Tampa, you have to go to Fish and Other Ichty Things in Oldsmar. John has the nicest SPS selection around.

Segrest Farms is in Tampa, Don't know if they will let you in.
Ora may let you in. They wouldn't the last time I was there. But they have changed hands and it was a few years ago. Wavespring (Justin and Eric) are in Gainesville. Brian (a different one) is in Tampa area also. I am in Fort Lauderdale. about 3 -4 hours south of Orlando. I am 2 hours from ORA.

Posting from Greg's computer... Just now getting internet access, the rental house that was supposed to have wireless, doesn't. Chances of making it to any farms at this point are pretty slim, thanks anyway ya'll. I suppose if Raaden doesn't mind, and anyone w/in an hour or so of Orlando is up for visitors Saturday afternoon, PM Raaden and he can give you my cell# to call.

That was it. Elite reefs.
I have met Billy at Riptides reef. Very nice stock and friendly people. But Sonja is looking for coral growers or farmers to visit. I don't think Billy is that.

Agreed about Billy. If you want to go to Jacksonville, in the north east part of FL, go see Rob at Rob's Reef. http://www.robsreef.com/
Rob grows a bunch of softies if I remember correctly. He is also on here, "robsreef" is his screen name
