My Aquarium is too cluttered! Can I use only one Power Head?
Even though I have a sump......it still seems that my display is too cluttered. Currently, for flow, I have a MJ1200, an unknown powerhead thats putting out about 400 GPH and my return thats giving me about 450 GPH. My question is, can I get rid of both powerheads and just get a single bigger one? That way, there's only my return and the power head in the display? Also, what is everyone else using for flow in a 75 Gallon?

What about using nano pumps such as the Koralia?
And if you have a 75 gallon that won't fit another powerhead, that's a ton of stuff. Got pics? |

I didnt say I couldnt fit another PH......its just that Im looking to add more flow (fighting a cyano outbreak) and I dont want to add another PH.......I would rather just buy one koralia or tunze instead of having 3 PH's in my tank.......I HATE the cluttered look.......

You could always go with a vortech and call it a day.

or a tunze 6101 on a controller and be done with flow problems.

So, nobody sees a problem with using just a single powerhead?

i was using a single Tunze on 6101 for several months before i got the second one.
A single Tunze 6101 will produce ~3200 gph flow. Thats nearly three Korilia #4s Add a Controller to your 6101 and you can pulse it and create random flow in the tank. |
