![]() The names were City of Night The Prodigical Son the final one hasn't been released yet to my knowledge If you like a great story, myth and history all mixed seemlessly into one try - Jack Whyte he combines Autorian Legend and the fall of the Roman Empire into one seemlessly entertaining series of books. I however did not love the later books as much as the first few but still great reads.

Mark Haddon's "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time"
is an excellent read. Funny, sad & thoughtful. . . not the usual stuff. Stephen King's "The Stand" is my favorite book of his. . . it is like a big comic book. "In the Heart of the Sea" by Nathaniel Philbrick is another good one. It tells the true story of the Whaleship Essex. Good if you like history and it is the story of the event that Melville used to base Moby Dick. |

If you're not intimitated by Shakespeare, I would highly recommend Othello, A Midsummer Nights Dream and Hamlet.

If you really want to be chilled to the bone, read "Whispers" by Dean Koontz. He's a fantastic writer with an awesome vocabulary. The Lovely Bones was very good as are the series by J.D. Robb...futuristic and well written.

Geeez, I feel so left out. I hate to read and all of you enjoy it so much. I read a book in Jr High some silly little paperback. I read another one while I was in the hospital some Voodoo book. But I actually read a real book once too, ALIVE.
