My Frag Closet
This is not for selling just for kicks until I P.off my wife
I sid what the hell. we just moved. Wife wont approve of a large tank (YET). So I put one in the closet. OUT of Sight OUT of mind  It's a 6' x 5' closet with a concrete floor. I built a 48" x 27" x12' frag tank out of lexan. I'm using my old fuge off my nano. aprox 34 gal. The tank and fuge takes up all 6'. I add a drain for quick water changes and a sink for cleaning up. Right now I have some T5's to hold over some tester corals until my Lumenarc 400w fixture comes in this week. For flow I have 2 closed loops. A Quietone 780gph on a SCWD, and a little giant 1100gph tee'ed.My return is an Ehime around 700gph. I had all this laying around. Coming soon is a fresh water holding tank aswell as a makeup water tank. with a drain straight to the fuge. In the room I have a ceiling fan and fans to pull out heat and moisture. 5 stage DI feeds the room for supply. 019ppm in 000ppm out. I still have along ways to go before I'm satified. Added a Lumenarc III w/400w 20k XM. I put it on a trolley/rail so I can move it side to side. also adjustable chain links for highth control maybe I'll make that motorized one day. My buddy and I made the ballast box.

What do you guys run? a Cal. reactor, Kalk reactor, or 2 part or a combo?
I'm am currently running a DIY Kalk reactor and Using B-ionic 2part. Is this good enough or Do I need to try a different approach? |

My girl would die for a yellow tail damsel. not happening.
Sweet build that frag tank looks great. Haven't seen such a high-tech closet for corals before.

looking good brent how are those rics you picked up doin? i got a lotta goodstuff @ my house thats ready for some 400 w toasting- maybe you can help me build one of these sweet tanks in return for a few frags?

you probably won't need to dose too much until you pack that thing out unless you don't wanna do wcs. kalk with topoff could probably do great for a while but may eventually need ca rxr and since you are wanting to automate pretty far may as well include that also. let's see the tomini in a close up if possible

HEY SHOW US A PIC WITH THAT NEW CAMERA I TALKED YOU INTO GETTING!!!!! BTW your friend builds a heck of a ballast box, as well he seems to inspire you to do many things......give him props!!!!! He's a friend I would like to have, thats for sure!
