puffers at lfs with concaved belly and droopy rear...what does this mean?
I was looking at puffers at my lfs and many others and notice a lot of puffers with a concaved bellies and larger droopier rears. I know this is a sign that they are not doing well, but is there a way they can be saved?
and what causes this? |

Deworming and feeding appropriate food may help if they have not been in this condition for a prolonged period.
This is an example ob both chronic and acute stress. Stress can affect the fish's immune system and leave it vulnerable to other pathogens and affect the fish's ability to cope with other stressors. |
