Unhappy I think I am going to cry

Today I am finalizing a transfer up to my company's Seattle office and will be moving in December. Looking forward to getting to know a whole new group of reefers, I went out to the 'Reef Club Forums' to find the 'Puget Sound Aquarium Society'.

Their total posts for this year do not even fill up one page.

Chances are the So Cal forum had more posts in the time it took me to write this.

I think I need to reconsider this transfer as it is going to interfere with my marine aquarium addiction.

Their club has their own board, which IIRC, used to be quite busy. So don't despair.

It might be that the clubs up in that area just don't use RC but a different board instead.

Then again, there have been many other reefers who have fled this state yet remained on the SCAL forum.

No you don't. I'd bet there is a community up there that will start coming out once someone starts to make some noise... The Inland Reefs group is a prime example.

Have some faith... You'll be fine.

Besides, you can still always post here and get a bit 'o virtual love if need be...

The transfer is voluntary. OK, more like I emailed them with the terms of my relocation (promotion, raise and paid moving expenses) and they jumped at the chance.

Besides, no way am I giving up a month of vacation per year to go start over at some less-reputable firm!

Maybe it's quality and not quantity that matters most?

We were ready to head up that way a couple years ago but my wife changed her mind (imagine that) when the grandkids started popping.

And here I was thinking of giving away all my zoas and rics to the friendly people of So Cal when I tear down my system.

Now I am just going to have to come up with fancy names for all of them so you will want to pay me ninety-gazillion times more than what I paid for them.

That's right, I said ninety-gazillion. Now you want them even more than ever before.

Here is example one: the industrial-steel-blue-moon-sunset-with a-twelve-eye-alien-on-board-eating-purple-people ricordea.

Price? If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

Hate to break it to you but that isn't a industrial-steel-blue-moon-sunset-with a-twelve-eye-alien-on-board-eating-purple-people ricordea. On the contrary, it is a industrial-steel-blue-moon-sunset-with a-eleven-eye-alien-on-board-eating-purple-people ricordea! The twelve-eye variety were destroyed by the infamous industrial-steel-blue-moon-sunset-with a-twelve-eye-alien-on-board-eating-purple-people-ricordea Nudibranch of 1997 and have since become extinct in the hobby. While almost as valuable, the industrial-steel-blue-moon-sunset-with a-eleven-eye-alien-on-board-eating-purple-people ricordea is being propagated by a professor in Hawaii who sells them for half that price... only 45-gazillion.
