Murder, or failed molt?

Well, I lost another peppermint shrimp. I just noticed it dead right now during lights out, couple hours ago he was fine.

I think it was a failed molt because substrate was sticking on its tail when I pulled it out.
I believe it got murdered because my pistol shrimp has done it before, but the pistol shrimp wasn't at the scene when I saw the dead peppermint shrimp. Could it have gotten shot, and died while walking to the other side of the tank?

This peppermint had a blue tail by the way...! You can see it here...

just dead...

So what do you think? Failed molt, or shot?

I'm the Pistol Shrimp defense attorney. My client is innocent. Just because he carry a pistol all the time. Does not mean he shot your Mr. Pepper. See you in court. Whisper to the pistol shrimp, "Did anyone see you". lol.

Lol.. made me laugh

But he wasn't at the scene, nor eating him. Did he fall off the rock and hit his head? I mean I did find it next to the feather duster just hanging there.

By the way.. what is pulmonary fibrillation?

Pistol: click click..click ( Why do you always blame me for these deaths?)
Me: because I saw you eating one once, and shot this guy multiple times before this tragedy, in the past days.
Minnfish: I object! (makes statement)

Pulmonary Fibrillation is where the chambers of the heart don't beat in sync, which can cause a number of different problems. The biggest one being clots that could potentially lead to heart attack or stroke.

It wasn't the Pistols fault. It was probably the Twinky he ate earlier that day!

Sorry I can't resist...it's Monday. You might need to use some advanced interrogation techniques to get it to talk. Have you tried water boarding?

Mr pistol, we need more witnesses to come to the end of a verdict. Consider yourself lucky for now, wait until the bristleworms and the micro-organisms in the sandbed start talking.

On the other hand mr pistol, is this your causen in this video?
http://blizzmax.com/?p=755
It shows here that your causen shot a shrimp, the approximate size of mr . peppers size.

You did not drag the shrimp, probably because I fed the tank that day, and you were full already, but decided to save it for later.

Tell me, what were you doing at the time the lights switched off at 10:13pm?

And where is your buddy the hi fin goby? I haven't seen him since before the tragedy.

We have came to a conclusion at 10/21/2007 that the pistol shrimp is... .... ...

dramatic pause

guilty.

Sadly, his buddy was found outside of the tank, fried up like a fishstick lying on the wooden floor. Forcing him to tell the truth, made him jump and suicide.

Pistol shrimp, you are not going to be sent to the new reef tank when it is setup, you stay in your little 3 gallon home. I cannot risk anymore shrimps with you, costing me money and time. Your lucky I still feed you shrimp though!
