new nano tunze skimmer

just got a nano tunze and got a question. The cup on top is filled with water is that normal. And if not what should i do?

my tunze did the same thing its a doc 9002 i found that i had turned the mixture screw to far open, shut it right off then just crack it, give it a few days to break in and adjust the screw from there only in small increcments though they are very touchy...

Mine did the same thing but it just took a couple days of adjusting. First I had the screw too far closed, and then I opened it too much. Now I've finally gotten it set up perfectly.

I have the same nano skimmer and like everyone said, close the air flow. I started off with mine just like the manual say and have the bubbles at the bottom of the cup. I did this, but have to back off at bit and now things seem to be working ok.

Also, another thing I've noticed with mine is water level. It is important to maintain a consistent water level. Mine is set right at the water mark on the unit. If I go too far above or below, the unit will produce different results.
