Canon 40d Photos

I finally had a few moments to play with my new 40d. I need to clean my tank and take some more shots, but I'm happy with the results. Here are a few from today

Enjoy!

Great looking shots! I like the Sailfin the best, nice color/composition, sharpness, DOF, the usual stuff. The borders are over the top for me but the pics look good. What did you use before the 40D? I have been thinking of upgrading from the 30D but haven't decided if it would be worth it.

Blazer88:

Thanks! I upgraded from the 10d, so it was a long time coming. I still love the 10d, but the 40d is a big step up. The fish shots were taken at 1600 ISO, which wasn't really an option with the 10d. Very little noise reduction was used via Neat Image. I don't know if there's much difference in noise with the 30d and the 40d, but given the extra 2MP, even if they're the same, it's a nice improvement given the extra MPs. I'm really looking forward to taking photos at the hockey games with the improved higher ISO shots, as well as the 6.5 fps.

Here's another shot of the Sailfin without the borders:
