how much kool aid went in the tank and how much watrer does your tank hold?
yeah id start out with a 20 percent change maybe run some carbon.
i doubt a little sugar is gonna wipe it out, you might get some cloudy water though.
just do water change for sure.

worst comes to worst at least the sugar might bring down your nitrates.. If the tank is big enough im sure it wont bother it

If you Vodka dose too much your tank will get cloudy, that's pretty much what has happened here.

You have just used a more complex sugar.

(Some people use sugar instead of Vodka, I like Vodka or Vinagar)

The sugar had made the bacteria that eats nitrates bloom, give it a few days and it should clear, on the pright side it should lower your nitrates.

Good Luck

Thats ok my goldfish tank has had just about everything my GF's 4 Yr old could get his hands on put into the tank Starting with Bedding out of my mouse cage, then it was a whole can of fish food, then a one liter of Green Tea. So far they are fine, but it did require some emergency water changes that i i would have preferred to avoid.

As long as it was not Jonestown Kool Aid it is OK.

I would not worry too much. The sugar may help tank with Nitrates.

Keep an eye on the skimmer. The sugar may make it go crazy.

Thanks to the people that were serious. To the rest of you, I thought this was a place to come for help, not to get laughed at and jokes made about what I think is a serious situation.
