you make it look like it took about 5 minutes to put together lol. get a tank a few pvc elbows and couplings, some sand boom instant reef lol.
looks great, the plumbing look real good as well.

what type of creatures will you be keeping in this reef Carlos?

JEESP= I believe this tank was a tear down bought with all of the livestock and rock from a previous established tank.
SO it became a transfer of livestock.

Thanks for the nice comments Mel, Pedro and Jess. I owe it all to Rogger. He worked his butt off helping me get it together, and guiding me through it. Ray Rawbomb, also helped, and saved us lots of time by picking up stuff while we did other things.

Thanks Gasman. Jess he is right, everything in my tank except for the sand, came from two other established large tanks hat were being torn down. I lost a small bit of coraline but I'm sure it will come back soon. I have (3) 20k 400w MH, and 2 PC that I don't have bulbs for yet.

Jess, I bought the tank for a baby foxface, ask Rob, LpsLvr. I will be putting everthing from my overstocked 34g Red Sea Max Nano into the big tank and will sell the Nano.

Very nice!

Can you explain the reason you went with the upside down drain with the purge at the top of the u? It creates a quiet siphon? It looks like it could be a slurping monster... !

I think it's just easier for an adjustment level of the water draining to the sump.. No need to worry about drilling the right size hole. a simple adjustment and bam.

Good job guys! Beautiful tank for sure and that anemone is kicking @ss in his new home.

Wow, nice tank. How did you get the wife to approve from a nano to a 210? What's your tactic?

I think he must have slipped something in her drink, then snuck the tank in.

The furniture for the tank is beautiful as well. What kind of reflectors are you running on the 400w mh's? I like the look of the hood, low profile.

Also are you running a chiller? Any calcium reactor/kalk reactor? I am really interested in seeing a big tank like this setup.
thanks

That is a typical durso type overflow drain design, it is actually very quiet. You can buy a pre-cut kit from AGA for about $40 or you DIY for about $15, the one in the picture came from the tank he bought the livestock and sump.

The lighting I got from Dan In West Palm who posted the 180g teardown a couple of weeks ago. I took the unit apart and did a retro fit onto the hood. THe bulbs are kind of close to the water, but I plan on selling the 400mh setup soon and buying a lower profile, cooler lighting system that still puts out 20k light.

I got her to agree to the tank by telling her we were going to grow pearls inside of oysters and be rich.
