Did I? I'm usually pretty good about that, but my head was spinning.

I came home today to find all the snails dead. While I was staring at one of them, and little thing came out of the rock and sampled it and jumped back in. Bristle worm...wonderful.

I put this on the other thread...but I'll throw it out here. What would take out all the snails? The trees look good. Are traps the only way to get rid of the worms?

I called YR and talked to Brandon. He is thinkng salinity or temp. Great thing is that I didn't get anything to test either of those. I was buying my water from there, so I know it is fine. (I don't have a test kit for that.) And I don't have a thermometer either. Which really seems silly at this point.

Any thoughts?

Don't get rid of the bristle worm... They are good for your tank I have MANY in my tanks.. I actually add them from one tank to another when I start a tank up..

Temp is a MUST that's one of the most basic things to have..
Check the temp and let us know..
Also Have you checked recently to see if there was a spike?

Are you adding salt water as top off or using just pure water?

Snails can fair Temps pretty well, Do you have a heater.

Hmm Interesting that john was finally able to sell his mother in law's tank. Its been there for so long. Last time I saw it the Softies were going crazy in the tank.

I let him keep all the big trees...I don't know what I am doing yet and didn't want to kill them off. The smaller ones are doing well.

I am topping with saltwater. I talked to John about it when I picked up the tank. He lowered the salt content for me, just for this week. I've put maybe two gallons in there, and as you can see the stats are good...where did the pH come from? I'm not all that versed on that...

Salinity - 1.025
Temp - 79
pH - 8.4 (??)
amm, trite, trate - zeros...
