Yellow tang issue??(spot above the eyes)

I have had This fish for over a year and a half and he was always active and ate well..Last night i noticed a spot on his face right between eyes(alittle higher) It looked as if it was rotting away??..this morning he was dead..Anyone ever had this issue..thanks for any info on the issue..?

Sounds like Head Line Lateral Errosion. Some people call it hole in the head disease. Was there errosion along the lateral line?

I was thinking along the same lines..Just wasnt aware that it happned that fast...

Sometimes these things appear overnight. Tangs are prone to this condition. Yellow tangs are cheap enough, just replace him. It will make you feel better.

yeah..i just wanted to make sure it wasnt nothing going on in the tank..Ive seen this condition on other tangs, just not a yellow tang before..thanks for all the input..
