Okay, so i'm confused, and looking for and explanation. Can someone explain the difference to me in how they infect, and how they should be treated, and how to identify the different types of ich. Cryptocaryon, i understand is the most common? but what others are there?

Ichthyophthirius is fresh water ich and Cryptocaryon is marine ich. There are excellent threads and article explaining everything you could ever want to know about ich (and other diseases) stickied at the top of the forum.
