Ha ha very nice just keep on collecting. That piece will slowly grow and really shine once its big and round. I diffently place it off in a corner on a ledge.

Very nice. Did that originate from the "Acan capitol?" It certainly is "eye catching." LOL

if said "acan capitol" = the motherland (australia), then yes.

thanks for the compliments! i've seen a lot of similar acans floating around lately, but the way the first one morphs from red/green/orange to the peppermint stripes is the first i've seen like it.

Beautiful piece. If you need to frag that and send a piece to another reefer's tank for an emergency back-up supply, let me know

nope...

a local store here in good old central illinois called "johnny's reefing experience". he's specializing in exotics and getting in some very nice cherry-picked stuff.

VERY AWESOME!! Many of the online places get all of these and leave the stores with nothing, pretty neat that your LFS got some good stuff in!

Were the acans pretty pricey though?

yeah - i've been getting a lot of rare pieces from this store lately. every week he's getting gobs of awesome stuff.

some other nice pieces i've picked up:

the acans are obviously expensive, but they are comparable or better than online pricing. the first acan i posted in this thread looks very similar to the "holy grail" acan on eye catching coral's site for $650 and johnny had this one listed at $199.

OK - So these "ACANS's" are wicked but when i google - not much info, can anyone tell me the "google name"?
I want to find out more info so i can see if we are set up to be able to look after them as they are amazing.
