RO Vs. Distilled

Are there any downfalls to using distilled water over RO water. I am currently buying RO water from a local grocery store, but I can get distiled water from another source for less.

I know the easiest answer is to buy an RO/DI unit, but I don't have the funds right now.

No problem with distilled whatsoever. The only detractant is the cost, as you pointed out an RO/DI unit is a cheaper long-term solution.

Yes, I am. I have seen you on here before as a matter of fact, you're here working on a project as I recall and I was interested in it but I don't recall what it was, am I right?

I have never made a meeting myself since none have yet coincided with my schedule.

Distilled water is likely okay, although it can and often does get contaminated somewhere along the line. It's probably safe enough, though.

No project that I can think of. I got a job as a historical interpreter so I moved to VA.

Distilled water is adequate for any reef tank .. just expensive.
