RO Vs. Distilled
Are there any downfalls to using distilled water over RO water. I am currently buying RO water from a local grocery store, but I can get distiled water from another source for less.
I know the easiest answer is to buy an RO/DI unit, but I don't have the funds right now. Thanks in advance. |

No problem with distilled whatsoever. The only detractant is the cost, as you pointed out an RO/DI unit is a cheaper long-term solution.

Thanks.
On a side note, are you a member of the Hampton Roads Reef Club? I recently moved to Newport News VA and am planning on joining as soon as I have a day off on the same day as a meeting. |

Yes, I am. I have seen you on here before as a matter of fact, you're here working on a project as I recall and I was interested in it but I don't recall what it was, am I right?
I have never made a meeting myself since none have yet coincided with my schedule. |

Distilled water is likely okay, although it can and often does get contaminated somewhere along the line. It's probably safe enough, though.

No project that I can think of. I got a job as a historical interpreter so I moved to VA. |
