G3 Skimmer Help

I know alot of you guys have these things. So I'm hoping you can help me out. I just got mine 2 days ago and added the gate valve mod with the exact specs from asmskimmers.com

Well my prob is, i turn the valve all the way open and turn on the skimmer but the prob is it overflows the collection cup in about 1 minute if that long. I dont know what to do. no matter how much I open or close the valve it fills up quickly.

In the beginning i didnt have much water in my sump. So I raised the water level by several inches and still no luck...

HELP!

i would check the air intake hose on the pump

Think its clogged maybe? That would be wierd cuz its brand new but ill check it

Are you using it in sump?
