I had one attach to my air tank once (or it just seemed to) when I was diving. It scared the fun right out of me. After that, i was done and so was my dive. It was about 3 feet long, so I am curious how big this one gets.

I am guessing it is about 1 1/2 to 2 feet.

Must be a different species than what I encountered in the wild. This was easily 3 - 4 feet long and 12 - 18 inches wide.

No, they can get at least 4 ft long. I caught one bottom fishing offshore one time (small one, only about 18''). Thing was stuck to the deck for like 10 mins, wouldn't let go. Wish I would have caught what it was stuck to though!

i'm going to try and be nice here but um why the f#@% would you buy that! do it a favor and give it to a public aquarium or maybe big al's if either of them will have it. you could release at the shore.

I was stating current size, not potential size. Belongs to a friend. He bought it at Something Fishy a while back. He had it lined up to take it to Big Al's, but the store changed their mind.

That is a fish that should definitely be left in the wild or to a public aquarium. But I like the koran and passer angels in the background! Wish that passer was for sale!

Bought Remora from local fish store about a year ago. Now he is looking to find a good home for it. If anyone knows of a place where it can be well taken care of please let me know. If there is anyone from a public aquarium that might be interested in this Rmora, please contact me. Friend was considering setting Remora free in the ocean but does not want to harm the fish. Any help would be appreciated.

Contact Jenkinsons Aquarium in Point Pleasant NJ. They may be able to help you out.

They are common off NJ, if he doesn't care about not getting any money for it, just let it go in the ocean, best place for him.

Maybe letting him go is best option. More worried about the fish than he is about the money.
Thanks for the advice.
