Skimmer suggestion for 150 gal. FOWLR

Hi all,
Just looking for suggestions for a nice skimmer that won't completely break the budget for a 150 gal. FOWLR that will be placed in-sump. I was thinking in the $200-$300 range. Can I get a good skimmer in that range for my set up?

your best bet in that range is an octopus nw200, if you could go to $400 I would get a DAS ex-2. For the 150 either should work fine, but the DAS would be much better. Another option would be an aquaeurousa classic 400, they have had pump problems but apparently got them under control. Reefnut.com has them, he is a good vendor.

For around $320 you could get a Tunze 9010 or a euroreef rs135 for an in sump FOWLR those should do pretty well. For an extra $100 you can open up all sorts of possibilities. HTH

What about a good quality used one? It's a skimmer, it doesn't matter if it is used. You hardly see it.

A good quality used unit would be great. Check out the used equipment forums, lots of good deals there.
