Exclamation turbo snails

how do i put them in the tank do i just stick them on a rock in the sand or try to get them to stick to the glass. all the ones in the past have died. plz help this is starting to get expensive and they are cheap

i just stick mine to the inside of the tank above the water and leave them be. the will acculimate themselves this way. has worked everytime

I do as Kau stated aswell. I added some snails after the cycle was complete on my tank. I think I added 3 turbos at that time. I had a little hair algea though.

I add snails as mentioned above as well. Just stick them to the glass above the water line or right at it on most tanks and let them dip their toes in at their leasure.

I would get snails as soon as your tank is past the cycle period. Just start with a couple and add later as needed.

huh, i've never thought of doing it that way kau, i've always just slowly acclimated them like fish...but your way sounds so much easier!

Many of the turbo snails sold by our LFS are cold water snails .. they slowly cook in our tanks and die .. unfortunately many aquarist think they screwed up some how. I suggest you have a conversation with your LFS and negotiate a discount on a batch of different "non turbo" snails.
