Angry My Vacation Sucked!

As everyone knows, I was on vacation last week. I was sick in bed the first 3 days and didn't get to the boat until Tuesday. Weather was absolutely horrible. Cold, breezy and raining the entire time. We stood in the rain Wed. night to watch the fireworks. We finally decided to take the boat out on Friday. We pulled away from our slip and up to the gas dock, filled up and pumped out. Got out on the river for about 5 FREAKIN MINUTES and then the thunderstorm started. Pulled back into the slip and left it tied up the rest of the weekend. Jetski never got taken off the trailer. I was so disappointed I got up this morning, packed everything up and came home.

I WANT A DO OVER!!!!!

Grab the Sunday paper & throw everything but the comics away, then read "family circus" you'll feel not so all alone

I thought of you when I looked at it

better weeks are coming...

I was off 2 days, so a long 5 day weekend
I was supposed to be off next week, but work has "projects" going on & I can't take the week off. I already had Friday off - approved at the beginning of the year

Then they had the noive to ask if I could work OT!!
Uh, we don't get paid OT until we have WORKED 40 hours
Since I have a day off, that means I would be working for straight time
NO - THANKS!~~!

I have asked for a week in August off, see how that goes

I made a Gallon pitcher of sangeria on Thursday and drank it all myself. I had to get my fruit and ginger ale in me!

Bart, Family Circus was exactly what it was like. Luckily the cabin is comfortable. They kids watched movies and played Wii. They also went swimming in the indoor pool and hot tub and when the rain broke they swam in the outside pool.

I'm on vacation again the last week of August so it'll probably rain In the meantime, we'll go up on weekends.

On the positive side, we saved on gas!

Bummer Carrie. My vacation was great! I mean awesome! I don't even want to go back to work tommorrow. We had unusually beautiful weather down here on the Island. Another reason to live on Lawnge Oiland( insert Long Island accent here). Sorry Kiddo, can't commiserate! Love ya all the same.

Hey Batguano dude, glad you had a great vacation!

I was also on vacation, and the weather was beautiful. Went up to Ely, MN for a few days, and had a great time.

Sorry your vacation sucked, Carrie. Really.

I propose that the Loungers host crp's next vacation--she can just hop from one home to the next and make it a cross-country trip. Dogs invited too, of course!

Carrie, you mean you didn't take advantage of the rainy days for some romance with hubby?

Just once! Tough to do when we have three teenagers with us and the bedroom "privacy" door is only half an inch thick. We gave them money and sent them into town for a little while

You know, we've a spare bedroom with private bath and there is plenty to see out west. And I can pretty much promise "no rain".

Your teens would love the national parks.

Hey that is just as bad as my trip to florida.

First day: Can't hear anything no one told me you were supposed to unblock your ears.

Second day: Very Very bad cold every ride in disney i went on i came off with about 20 tissues.

Third day: Throw up in the hottle pool with a water slide and everything. Went down to the beach after sience they needed to clean the pool and some girls i was hanging with said "did you hear about that girl who throw up in the pool that was so descustion and no we cant go swimming" Me "no i didnt is that why the pool was closed"

Forth day: fell of the bed and brock my coler bone, and nope wasnt jumping was doing homework leaned over to see how to spell florida and fell layed there an hour cause my parents were getting ready in the bath room and couldn't hear me screaming after 10 min though i gave up. Oh and did i meantion that was the last time i even did homework. Oh and we were supposed to see a lady bug realese about 200,000 of them

Fifth, six, seventh day: Very upset and couldnt go on most rides.

Vacation: Only one i have ever really had. but should make you feel better about your vacation you didn't come home with brocken bones, a sling, and a figure 8 thing that made you look rediculase.

Sorry to hear how your vacations turned out, Carrie and Puffer(!) .

I just got back from mine and was feeling sorry for myself, but I see I'm not the only one.

I rented a house on the beach and it rained every single day except for the day we were coming home. It did clear up at night on the 4th and we shot fireworks on the beach and went for a night swim.

We spent a lot of time on the covered part of the deck watching rain fall on the ocean.
