mmm The problem is that mandarins eat copods so fast, they dont really have time to reproduce fast enough to keep up with his eating. It may take a while, but he would probably still have problems...

Hmm... I do away with the Mandarin... they require copods to eat, and Lots of them. They often starve to death. That is unless you find one that eats mysis or somthing, but it is rare. Ask your LFS...

valonia is not gelatinous, but rather hard, and dark green... doesnt soundlike bubble algea. it could be sponge, tunicates, or a variety of other things....
