For a 120 gal I would get the 180 the ev120 is a bit on the small side. And yes they can be very finiky at first it can take a few weeks before they settle down so be sure to run the drain line back...

It works just fine I ran a all-glass 90 gallon with the megafow overflow for 2 years that way. had a quiet one 4000 as the closed loop pump. Also had another queitone 4000 as the return in the sump....
