You can cap off one end of a 3-5 inch diameter...

You can cap off one end of a 3-5 inch diameter pvc pipe that is about 6-8 inches long and fill it with sand. Just silicone a piece of plastic on one end.

Yeah, I'll probably switch to 250 HQIs when my ballasts go out on me. That way I can switch around bulbs and not worry about it.

I think you are good to go. The XM 250s 10Ks have awesome PAR. I have mine about that high with 150 HQI XM 10Ks.

I wouldn't worry a bit, though opinions may differ from others.

Well, your clowns will be fine w/out the anemone. Having said that, you MIGHT be able to get away with a BTA, but maybe someone else will chime in...? If it can't find enough light, it will wander...
