I hae used Mag pumps but personally I will never have anotherone inside my house. They are just to noisy.....

Eheims are 2x's the price but they are silent!!!

The best silent pump in the 1000-1500 gph area is the Velocity T4

I use one on my 260g & 1 on my 90g reef, totally silent!

Not sure if you will find anything really good new in that range. Some of the cheap skimmers inflate their tank rating but if you compare the specs to other skimmers that are higher priced the cheap...

Bubble king seems to be one of the most expensive & has what many feel are the best pumps. Definantly great stuff!!
